Why is it so bloody difficult to think of anything to write these days?

Its so depressing isn’t it! Christmas is over and having to come back to work - I don’t like it I tell you!

We didn’t make it to Looe in the end as the day we were due to go it decided to snow so we had to spend two days around my parents instead as we had the plumbers at our place installing central heating (which is now up and running and very nice and toasty it is as well).

My New Years resolution is to give up alcohol and cheese for a month - a detox if you like. I suggested this to Lisa thinking that she might also decide to give up a couple of things for the month as well. She decided to go along with mine, despite the fact that she barely drinks nor eats a lot of cheese - thats cheating methinks!

Yes thats CHRISTMAS…not ‘the poxy holidays!’ We’ll have none of that politically correct liberal bollocks here thank you very much….bloody liberals ruin everything.

I’ve got eleven days off over Xmas which will be nice to spend with Lisa and the baby. Christmas dinner should be an interesting one. We are spending it at my parents along with my brother and his family, my grandparents, Lisa’s dad & the two Thai cooks from the Golf Driving Range!

We are off to Looe for a couple of days in the middle of next week to see Lisa’s grandad (and possibly nanny) Pike, who hasn’t met the latest great-grandchild yet. And then back for a probable Pike family gathering on the Friday.

In other news the ‘Tookie’ Williams saga continues of sorts as Arnold Schwarzenegger is throwing a hissy fit and wants his name taken off of his home town football stadium in Graz as local officials have criticised for not saving the life of the four-time convicted murderer. I always thought Arnold Schwarzenegger Stadian was a bit of a moutful anyway and I can’t imagine to many people will be sad to see the name go away.

‘Tookie’ Williams was executed this morning, just a few minutes ago in fact, after Governor Schwarzenegger refused to grant him clemency.

It was a no-win situation for Schwarzenegger really, whichever way he had gone would have been wrong by somebody.

Not sure why I’m writing about crap going on in the US - I think this case interested me for some reason - I’ll stop now though…I promise!
